Global Fluency of Metro Areas – Brookings / JP Morgan GCI Report Launched

A new paper on Global Fluency, co-authored by Greg Clark, has today been published by Brookings Institution/ JP Morgan Chase and the Centre for London. Using the city ‘traits’ set out in his ground-breaking paper ‘The Ten Traits of Globally Fluent Metro Areas’’ Clark, together with co-author Tim Moonen, has moved global fluency analysis beyond US metropolitan areas to look at cities worldwide. The new international paper explores the different pathways which international cities are pursuing in order to achieve global engagement and progress towards global fluency. The paper finds that the most successful cities are those that have a long-term outlook and achieve some level of integration between many of the traits.
