Hosting University of São Paulo to discuss Brazil’s urban future

The Business of Cities hosted a delegation from the University of São Paulo in London to explore the future of Brazilian cities. Conversations contrasted the pathways of the São Paulo megacity with those of medium and smaller cities across the state, and considered how Brazil’s renewed focus on urban development can support more inclusive, sustainable and productive growth.

São Paulo state – which if considered separately would be just outside the top 20 largest economies — is home to 46 million people, about half of whom live in its 10 largest cities.
